Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that the Indians are on "a short list" of teams being considered by free agent outfielder Jason Bay. Bay is looking for an opportunity and a place where there is some familiarity, so there could be a fit with the Indians, as new skipper Terry Francona managed Bay in Boston from 2008-2009. Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reported last week that the British Columbia native would prefer to sign with a team on the West Coast, so it's not a sure thing that he'll sign with Cleveland.
