Bumgarner (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Wednesday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bumgarner was able to use his full complement of pitches during the session and will move on to throw a simulated game over the weekend as he advances to the next phase of his rehab. It was initially expected that Bumgarner would be sidelined until after the All-Star break, but with the left-hander progressing faster than anticipated, a late-June or early-July return doesn't seem impossible.
