Broxton struck out all three batters he faced in the eighth inning Thursday against the Reds for his second hold of the season. Broxton's given up a couple big long balls this year, which have skewed his ERA, but he's been on point with his control, striking out 10 without a walk over 6.2 innings so far. He should continue to get consistent work setting up Francisco Rodriguez and would be the natural choice for saves if K-Rod goes down with an injury.
