Broxton (1-1) imploded in the eighth inning Wednesday, loading the bases on two hits and a walk, then giving up a three-run triple to Detroit's Nick Castellanos. For a couple appearances there, it looked like Broxton was trending back in the right direction, but that illusion was quickly shattered Wednesday. Despite an 18:4 K:BB, he's now given up a stunning 24 hits and 14 runs -- all earned -- in just 15.1 innings this year. Even if Francisco Rodriguez were to go down, it's hard to imagine the Brewers handing save chances to Broxton with the way he's pitched.
