Brignac signed a minor league contract with the Marlins on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. Though the report doesn't state that Brignac's deal includes an invite to big league spring training, that's probably a safe assumption after the infielder was able to collect 81 at-bats with the Phillies in 2014. The Marlins' middle infield depth isn't especially impressive, so Brignac could have a legitimate case to a utility role if he submits a strong spring training. However, as a glove-first player with a .222/.266/.314 line across seven MLB seasons, Brignac won't offer much fantasy utility if he's able to claim a big league gig.
