Brian McCann had a huge day at the plate in Saturday's 11-3 rout of the Mets, going 4-for-5 with a homer, double, three runs scored and four RBI. That's quite a way for McCann to convince his manager that he should remain in the lineup on an everyday basis. He smashed a two-run double as part of a four-run third inning, then added a two-run homer off Robert Carson in the fifth inning. McCann had been hitless over his last four games but is capable of getting back on track in a flash.
