Brewers signed C Paul Phillips to a minor league contract. The deal includes an invite to spring training. Phillips, who turns 35 in April, batted .237/.281/.305 with three homers, 24 RBI and a .586 OPS over 291 plate appearances with the Indians' Triple-A affiliate last season. He'll function as organizational depth in the minors.
