Brewers manager Ron Roenicke wasn't sure if Chris Narveson (thumb) would be able to return from the disabled list on August 22 when he's first eligible. Narveson needed eight stitches to close a wound he received when he tried to repair his glove with a pair of scissors. "That's hard to say," Roenicke said. "It's possible that the doctor will say he can throw even with the stitches. But if a pitcher isn't able to throw at all for that whole time - the 15-day minimum for the DL - it can be a problem." It seems likely that his absence will be extended to the end of the month. Marco Estrada will assume Narveson's spot in the rotation.
