Brett Myers (elbow) was cleared by a doctor on Friday to begin playing catch. Myers revealed the news himself on Twitter. The right-hander had been shut down for two weeks with a mild tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, but he's obviously hoping to avoid surgery. We'll obviously know more about his progress once he's throwing from a mound.
