Brett Myers (elbow) fared well in his first minor league rehab start with Double-A Akron on Friday, allowing just one hit and a walk over three scoreless innings of work. Myers threw 33 pitches in the game, 18 for strikes. He's dealing with a mild UCL tear in his elbow, but has chosen to try to pitch through the injury rather than undergoing surgery. It's a good first step, but he'll need several rehab outings before rejoining the Indians' rotation.
