Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson (neck) left the game Monday with an apparent injury. Anderson had thrown 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball with one strikeout before leaving with the athletic training staff. Anderson had to duck to avoid a broken bat in the fifth inning and initially stayed in the game before departing one inning later. The A's will likely update his status after the game.
