Brett Anderson (elbow) will throw to live hitters Tuesday. It's a big step for the left-hander, as it usually means a rehab assignment is right around the corner. Anderson will obviously need plenty of rehab starts and certainly won't be ready to rejoin the A's rotation before the end of the month.
