Brett Anderson (elbow) will throw live batting practice Thursday for the first time since Tommy John surgery. The left-hander has already been throwing all of his pitches in bullpen sessions for nearly a month and is now ready to face hitters. It's not clear how far he is away from a rehab assignment, but he's still expected back sometime in August.
