Brett Anderson (elbow) hopes to receive clearance to begin throwing at the end of October. Anderson, 23, underwent Tommy John surgery in July. The young left-hander has dropped 21 pounds as a result of daily workouts and eating healthier. He hopes to return in the latter part of the 2012 season.
