Brett Anderson (ankle) will throw around 85 pitches in his rehab start with Double-A Midland on Sunday. As long as everything goes as planned, Anderson is expected to be cleared to return to the A's starting rotation on May 17. He'll return to an uncharacteristically ugly 6.21 ERA and 1.62 WHIP that he posted through his first 29 innings before hitting the DL.
