Brendan Ryan was held out of the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Indians. Ryan played his first game since August 3 on Monday night, but finished 0-for-3 with two strikeouts. The Mariners clearly don't believe his left shoulder is healthy enough yet to resume everyday shortstop duties.
