Brendan Ryan is hitting .276 (16-for-58) in his last 20 games. It's at least a sign he's heading in the right direction. Ryan continues to start for his defense, but could be pushed by top prospect Nick Franklin in the second half. Franklin is batting .299 with five home runs and 22 doubles in 73 games at two different levels of the minors.
