Braves placed LHP Paul Maholm on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 21, with a left wrist contusion. Maholm originally injured the wrist during his last start before the All-Star break, but he aggravated it on Saturday against the White Sox. No word yet on the timetable for his return, but Alex Wood will start in his place Thursday against the Mets.
