Braves optioned C Evan Gattis to Triple-A Gwinnett. After getting off to a phenomenal start to the season, Gattis has really cooled in the second half, hitting just .225/.266/.292 with one homer and 10 RBI in 25 games since the All-Star break. The Braves want him to continue to get consistent at-bats, which he hasn't been able to receive in Atlanta in recent weeks. The White Bear has clubbed 15 homers and driven home 47 runs on the season.
