Brandon Workman gave the Red Sox another solid effort Monday, yielding two runs in six innings in a loss to the Rays. Had Workman struggled tonight, he almost certainly would have been sent down for a fresh arm. That he was able to save the bullpen by throwing six quality innings gives him a chance to stick around as the fifth starter for a while longer. He's done well so far while filling in for Clay Buchholz.
