Brandon Workman did some work on Tuesday, allowing just one hit over 6 2/3 scoreless innings in a 1-0 win over the Orioles. Workman had been serviceable in his first four starts, but the right-hander quieted a potent Orioles offense with conviction on Tuesday. In fact, Workman's toughest opponent was the two rain delays that limited him to 67 pitches before being yanked. The right-hander walked one and struck out four, lowering his ERA to 2.86 with a 0.99 WHIP. The strong outing has surely bought him at least one more turn in the rotation, and that will come Sunday against the Indians.
