Brandon Webb is retiring from baseball. Webb drew a bit of interest this winter from teams like the Mets, Phillies, Marlins and Nationals but he was never offered a contract. The sinkerballing right-hander won the National League Cy Young Award in 2006 with the Diamondbacks and also enjoyed exceptional output in 2007 and 2008, but he eventually developed chronic shoulder issues and was never able to fully recover. The 33-year-old will retire with a 3.27 career ERA.
