Brandon Moss went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts as the A's were shutout by the Royals on Tuesday. Moss had homered twice in three at-bats against Jeremy Guthrie earlier in the season, but was unable to put the bat on the ball against him this time around. He's hitting a paltry .229 on the year, though he has provided decent power production with his 10 homers and 24 RBI in 144 at-bats.
