Brandon Guyer went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored as the Rays held on for a 4-3 win over the Royals on Tuesday. Rays manager Joe Maddon hit Guyer in the third spot in his lineup, and the 28-year-old rewarded him with his best game in almost two weeks. Guyer doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, and he scored again in the eight as the Rays added to their lead. The outfielder has been getting steady playing time in recent weeks and is hitting .264/.313/.364 on the year.
