The Marlins skipped Hand in the rotation this week and will replace him at the back end with Brad Penny starting Tuesday, meaning the lefty will be relegated to the bullpen for the time being. Hand has posted a 4.71 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 84 innings this season, but may end up getting another chance to start if Penny falters.
