Boesch was outrighted off the 40-man roster Friday, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Boesch split time evenly between Triple-A Louisville and the majors, but struggled mightily in his time with the major league club, slashing just .146/.191/.202 in 51 games. The 30-year-old does have good power, though he hit just five homers in 2015, but will likely be reduced to a bench role again next season.
