Blue Jays placed RHP Sergio Santos on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation. A tough break for the Jays and for Santos' fantasy owners. Santos felt some tightness in the shoulder while converting a save Friday. "He didn't feel quite right in that save situation last night," manager John Farrell said after Saturday's game. "And as the evening progressed, he felt more tightness throughout the night. He woke up [Saturday] morning with that inflammation kind of rearing its head." Farrell is considering the move precautionary, so it sounds like an extended stay on the DL might not be needed. Francisco Cordero will close games for Toronto while Santos is out.
