Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday that Adam Lind and Cole Gillespie will platoon for a while. Lind is batting a robust .377/.442/.582 against righties this season but has just two hits in 28 at-bats against lefties. The 30-year-old has always been benched often against southpaws, so this is no surprise. Gillespie, who was claimed off waivers on Saturday, is a career .230/.295/.329 hitter over 270 plate appearances.
