Blue Jays designated RHP Alex Burnett for assignment. He was cleared to make room for the newly-claimed Casper Wells on the 40-man roster. Burnett, 25, had a 3.52 ERA in 67 appearances with the Twins last season and figures to draw interest on waivers.
