Blue Jays designated INF/OF Mike McCoy for assignment. After batting .198 in 80 games with the Blue Jays in 2011, McCoy went 9-for-52 (.173) in 32 games at the major league level this year. While he provides some versatility, he simply wasn't worth occupying a spot on the 40-man roster.
