Bloomquist (knee) is expected to be ready for the start of the season, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.A knee injury forced Bloomquist onto the DL shortly after the All-Star break and it was later determined that he needed microfracture surgery. The 37-year-old appears on track for Opening Day, with GM Jack Zduriencik saying that the team's recent signing of Rickie Weeks was unrelated to Bloomquist's health and that there's room for both players on the major league roster.
