Blanks has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to tendinitis in both Achilles tendons, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Blanks was initially slated to play first and bat cleanup, but soreness in both Achilles tendons will keep him out of Wednesday's contest. Prince Fielder will take Blanks' place in the field and the order.
