Blake Hawksworth had his elbow surgery Wednesday. The procedure, which was designed to clean up scar tissue and a bone spur in the right-hander's throwing elbow, was deemed a success. Hawksworth will begin rehabbing on Monday and should resume throwing in a month. He might not be ready by the start of the regular season but shouldn't miss more than a few weeks.
