Blake Beavan hurled two scoreless innings Saturday as the Mariners topped the Padres by a score of 8-6. Beavan surrendered two hits but struck out one and walked none. The 24-year-old righty is expected to open the 2013 season as the Mariners' No. 5 starter but probably isn't worth consideration in standard mixed fantasy leagues.
