Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Padres are not expected to trade Chase Headley. There have been rumblings this offseason that Headley could be made available, since he's made little progress on a potential contract extension with the Padres and is eligible for free agency after next season, but the Padres appear content to keep him. The 29-year-old is a strong bounce-back candidate in 2014, and an intriguing option in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
