Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times hears that the Angels are not willing to trade Mark Trumbo for Tyler Skaggs, "at least not straight up." Skaggs has naturally been linked in the Trumbo/Diamondbacks rumors, as he has plenty of upside but doesn't appear to have a spot in the club's 2014 rotation. He would be slotted into the Angels' rotation, but the Halos might prefer a more proven commodity. As Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic notes, Skaggs is coming off a poor season in which he lost some velocity.
