Beltran is out of Tuesday's lineup with a sore left knee, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.

Manager Joe Girardi referred to the situation as "a little worrisome," which doesn't bode well, but he also didn't rule out the possibility that Beltran could return to the lineup Wednesday. For now, the 39-year-old should be considered day-to-day and Aaron Hicks -- drawing the start in right field Tuesday -- will likely be called upon if Beltran is required to miss any more time.
