Fraley (toe) is beginning a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Louisville.

Fraley is expected to play for Louisville on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning to the Reds' active roster ahead of Friday's series opener against the Cubs. He's been sidelined since Aug. 5 because of a stress fracture in his left fourth toe. The injury will likely require a surgical repair over the offseason.
