Bishop (shoulder) reported to the Giants' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate Thursday to begin a rehab assignment, GiantsProspects.com reports.

Bishop has been sidelined at High-A Eugene since May 6 with a strained left shoulder, but the 23-year-old finally looks to be nearing the finish line in his recovery from the injury. Because of his extended shutdown, Bishop may require several games in the ACL before Eugene activates him. He went 2-for-12 over three games at High-A prior to straining his shoulder.
