Barry Zito wasn't involved in the decision against the Mets after giving up five runs in six innings on Tuesday. Zito actually started warming up a little at the end of Monday's 16-inning marathon against the Mets, but probably not enough to really slow him down today. That said, he did fade fast in this one, giving up all five runs in the second half of his outing. He's now gone seven straight starts without a victory, and his only quality start during that span came against the lowly Marlins. One can't count him out after last year, but it doesn't look like he'll resume being very useful in NL-only leagues in the second half.
