Barry Zito was hit hard in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers, allowing four runs on seven hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work. Zito fanned four while walking one on the evening. Matt Kemp got the scoring started early in this one, launching a two-run homer to center field in the first inning. The Dodgers would tack on a run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly, and another in the sixth on an RBI double from Jerry Hairston Jr. With the loss, Zito falls to 8-7 on the season, though he still owns a very respectable 3.89 ERA over his first 20 starts. He'll look to put this one behind him and get back in the win column when he squares off against the Mets at home on Thursday.
