Barry Zito recorded just five outs in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Astros, allowing three runs on seven hits. Zito was yanked after allowing hits to four of the first five batters he faced in the third inning, but it's possible his recent back soreness contributed to the early exit. Nevertheless, the outing was his shortest of the season, and leaves him with a 4.42 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 85/62 K/BB ratio through 148 2/3 frames. Provided he's healthy, he'll get the Diamondbacks at home on Monday.
