Barrett has a 1.50 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in 12 innings of action since being called up from Triple-A Reno on April 28.
EDGE Analysis
After his ERA reached 6.75 in less than three innings at the beginning of the season, Barrett has taken strides to make a name for himself in his inaugural MLB season. His superb 5.67 K/BB ratio is the best among Diamondbacks' relievers that have thrown 10 or more innings and his fastball is in the realm of 95 miles per hour. With an 8.05 K/9 and 1.0 HR/9, there's plenty of room for the rookie to continue improving, and he should have plenty of opportunities to do so, courtesy of his strong play as of late.
