Barnes was designated for assignment Sunday. Barnes spent 2014 at Triple-A Colorado Springs, posting a 3.69 ERA and 1.21 WHIP while striking out 25 over 31.2 innings. It appears the Indians don't have much faith in him, removing him from the 40-man after acquiring Charles Brewer from the Diamondback.
