Barmes is starting at shortstop Monday and will bat eighth against the Dodgers. Barmes gets the nod over Alexi Amarista, but it could be a temporary lineup change as Amarista is expected to be the everyday shortstop. That said, Barmes has had some success against Dodgers' starter Clayton Kershaw, going 7-for-27 against the three-time Cy Young winner.
