Bard is attempting a comeback with the Cubs this spring, the team's official site reports. Bard signed a minor league contract in January after taking off most of last year when he struggled in the minors coming back from a neck injury. He cleared his head by biking across Iowa and taking a long trip to Europe, but it remains to be seen if he can still get hitters out. If he sticks with the Cubs' organization, it'll likely be as a Triple-A pitcher.
