Baker labored through 4.1 innings Friday night, giving up five earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three in a loss to the Mariners. Coming off of back-to-back solid efforts, Baker was unable to keep it going Friday night. The veteran right-hander has pitched mostly out of bullpen this season, but has now seen three consecutive turns in the Rangers' rotation. His role going forward is a bit up in the air, but a possible fourth straight start for Baker would likely come on Thursday versus the Angels or Friday against the Braves.
