The Cubs recalled Wicks from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Wicks served as the 27th man in Wednesday's doubleheader before being returned to Iowa. Just a couple of days later, he'll join the 26-man roster in place of Javier Assad. Wicks should serve out of the bullpen, a role in which he's struggled during 2025, compiling a 9.72 ERA across 8.1 innings with Chicago.
