Bolt was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas prior to Tuesday's game against Detroit, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bolt was a strong candidate to rejoin the major-league roster when rosters expand to 28 players on Wednesday, but his call-up comes a day earlier with Mitch Moreland (wrist) landing on the injured list. Bolt recorded just five hits in 47 previous major-league at-bats this season, and he should resume in a reserve outfield role going forward.
