Ryan was recalled by the Cubs on Tuesday to serve as the extra man for the nightcap of the doubleheader against the Brewers, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Ryan was optioned earlier in the same day prior to first game of the doubleheader, but he won't have to wait long to rejoin his teammates. Whether or not he'll remain with the team after the night game is not yet clear.
